The PicoFree’s parts are 3D printed from high quality ABS plastic that is proven to be reef safe, and after being treated, sealed and connected as part of the system is entirely waterproof.

The PicoFree includes a hanger designed to allow it to hang on the back of your tank, or inside of your system if you have an AIO tank, or don’t mind things in the display. It includes our unique swirl plate for larger media to get better flow, as well as the standard media plate to be used with fine media.
You could also run it in a sump! These products are ideal for tanks with small sump space that still want to use reactors! I have personally been running mine in my 30 gallon reef tank for almost a year with great success.

All products in the PicoReactor line include dual o-rings for a tight seal, all required parts and accessories to run off of your main return pump, or an accessories pump (sold separately) and also has the ability to be chained together to run multiple reactors on a single tank/pump.

The PicoFree is uniquely designed for DIY reefers! It is intended to add space for extra filtration media, to try out new things, and just add extra water volume to tiny tanks. This system could also be used for any filtration media if the PicoTumble isn’t big enough for you.

All reactors are leak tested before shipping.

F.A.Q -

• Is it waterproof? Yes! It is designed for hang on back, or free standing installs without leaking.

• What size hose do the fittings use? 1/2in hose and fittings.

• How much media can I fit? Even in the PicoTumble (the smallest) you could easily run 2 cups of media if needed.

• Is there any filter sponge installed? No, but the unit does come with some in the accessories to be used with very find media if needed.

• How many units can I run at once? as many as you want, technically!

• What size tank does it fit? The units hang off the back of the tank about 7-13 inches depending on the version, the standard hanger will fit tanks up to 6mm thick and is adjustable for any tanks thinner than that. If you need a different mount, check out our wall mounts (perfect for inside a cabinet) or our low profile mount for internal overflow installs.
